Frozen building a snowman

Just watched movie “Frozen” and to be honest, I thought this was another classical fairytale of love between prince and princess and it surprised me of showing love between sisters instead. Songs and animation were fantastic, I must say I like it more than I had expected.

As the two princess sings, the musical “wicked” kept coming to my mind and when i went searching the song on youtube, I realized why. The Oscar nominated “let it go” was sang by Ms Wicked, Idina Menze

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I’m the Queen
The wind is howling like the swirling storm inside
Couldn’t keep it in; Heaven knows I tried

Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Well now they know

Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back any more
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don’t care what they’re going to say
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway

It’s funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can’t get to me at all

It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me,
I’m free!

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You’ll never see me cry
Here I stand
And here I’ll stay
Let the storm rage on

My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I’m never going back, the past is in the past

Let it go, let it go
And I’ll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway

Despite that, my favorite song is yet this was the song sang in hope, in doubt, and in the end sorrow.

Anna:
Elsa?
(Knocking)
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Come on lets go outside
and play
I never see you anymore
Come out the door
It’s like you’ve gone away
We used to be best buddies
And now we’re not
I wish you would tell me why
Do you wanna build a snowman?
It doesn’t have to be a snowman.

Elsa:
Go away, Anna.

Anna:
Okay, bye.

(Knocking)
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Or ride our bikes around the halls
I think some company is overdue
I’ve started talking to the pictures on the walls
(Hang in there, Joan)
It gets a little lonely
All these empty rooms
Just watching the hours tick by
(Tic-Tock, Tic-Tock, Tic-Tock, Tic-Tock)

(Knocking)
Elsa,
Please, I know you’re in there
People are asking where you’ve been
They say have courage, and I’m trying to
I’m right out here for you, just let me in
We only have each other
It’s just you and me
What are we gonna do?
Do you wanna build a Snowman?

I love how they define “true love” in the end. It’s not classic, it’s wonderful.
